Respectful caregiving friezes (set of 5)
This set of friezes has been designed for parents, teachers, training facilitators, and other early childhood specialists.
They are practical, and provide a simple yet informative guide to how respectful caregiving can be put into action. The
beautifully illustrated friezes give tips on nappy changing using free movement, individual and small group mealtimes
without the use of highchairs, and preparing a child for rest or sleep. Each of the friezes highlights the significance of
having Primary Care responsibilities, connects with Te Whariki, and offers tips and suggestions for how to engage in the
experience successfully, respectfully and with pleasure.
The five frieze titles: Nappy changing lying down; Nappy changing standing up; Mealtimes on the lap; Mealtimes at the
table; and Preparing for rest. They make a great display, work well as supporting
information for the above mentioned DVD and would make a valuable addition to your teacher or parent library.
